Latest Unthinking - January
Exclusive January news.

Aaand just like that, we’re back. Back into our routines and back into the inbox. How’s it going? Are you feeling fired up? Do you know what you’re going after this year? If no, we’re here to help. If yes, go and get it.
A little exclusive before we get into it… You may remember we were looking for 2 new Unthinkers at the end of 2025. Well, good news… We’re delighted to share Veronica joins us as Unthink’s (and the industry’s?) first ever Dreamweaver 👏 More on socials about Veronica this week… 👀
Our second role, Learning Experience Designer and Facilitator is still open… Is that you?
Tell me something new…
In our Unthink team day last week, we talked about January being the month of reflection and commitments. If you’re still in that phase, here are 10 Unthink questions to sharpen your 2026.
Dirt Track Mindset
Who are the people challenging my perspective right now, and am I truly listening to them?
What’s one area of my life, work, or job, where I’m playing it safe, and what would change look like?
Don’t be a 6
Where am I choosing “good enough” when I know I’m capable of more?
If I looked back on this moment in 10 years, would I be proud of how I showed up?
Work The Problem
What’s one assumption I’m making about a problem that might not be true?
If I had to find a solution in the next hour, no matter what, what would I try?
Do More
If I doubled my output in the next 30 days, what impact could it have on my life?
Who would I become if I consistently showed up at 100% of my potential?
Enjoy The Journey
How often do I stop to celebrate small wins along the way?
If I could only ever enjoy the journey and never arrive, would this still be worth pursuing?
Dirt Track Thinking
I’m full of golden lines. What are yours?
Failure. Everyone hates it, don’t they?
We’re told to avoid it, dodge it, fight it off. It's the thing that stops you from being successful. But what if we embraced it? What if we celebrated it? You’ll fail.
But in those golden lines of failure, you’ll find the breakthrough. And that’s the real success. Kintsugi is Japan’s ancient art of embracing imperfection. Whenever a cherished piece of pottery is shattered, it gets repaired with liquid gold, arguably making it more perfect in the process. It’s the art of resilience.
The alchemy of turning your wounds into gold. By emphasising its scars with gold, by proudly showing its wounds, instead of hiding them, it paradoxically becomes even more precious.
In life, just like in pottery, we sometimes break.
But it’s how we find our true shape. Every obstacle, every mistake, makes you more unique and brings you closer to where you’re meant to be.
Wabi-sabi is the Japanese philosophy of accepting imperfection. It's not about achieving perfection, but also about embracing the beauty of the flawed. It's a reminder to stay optimistic when things fall apart.
Unthink Learning: In life, business, and sport… we all have our cracks. But those cracks aren’t defeats; they're what make you stronger, more resilient, and more beautifully whole. Embrace your golden lines and they will take you to exactly where you're meant to be.
In other words, what were your biggest f*ck-ups in life? And what good came of them?
What are your golden lines? As I said, I’m full of them. And I wouldn’t want to miss any of them.
