Chat GPTs quick summary of today’s newsletter:

Lucent Globe pulled off a marketing heist by sneaking their eco-friendly products into Ikea for a photoshoot, probably leaving Ikea clueless and inadvertently starring in the best unpaid ad campaign ever. Meanwhile, we celebrated our new award for Most Disruptive Learning & Development Provider 2024 - UK, proving to our parents that we actually know what we're doing!

Enjoy!

Tell me something new

The way we learn has changed a lot in the last 20 years. Yet the L&D industry hasn’t moved on.

When we think about F2F learning, companies still default to classroom training. It’s what has always been done and is typically what companies feel comfortable doing.

But here’s the problem.

Having access to information, isn’t learning.

Thinking you are going to apply the learning, isn’t learning.

Telling someone you are going to apply the learning, isn’t learning.

Scheduling time to learn, isn’t learning.

We only learn when we practice and recall information. Unthink’s whole methodology is based on assisting the recall of information with one thing in mind: behaviour change.

For us that means we work off different metrics; which are jaw drops, heart swells, and goosebumps.

You cannot create this impact with workshops as we know them.

That’s why we’re resetting the industry standards with Learning Experiences.

And it’s not just us and our clients who are beginning to understand this.

This month, Corporate Vision voted Unthink as....

Most Disruptive Learning & Development Provider 2024 - UK

This one means a lot to us at Unthink.

We're here to keep raising the bar and provide organisations with learning that is designed for impact.

Expiring workshops, one Learning Experience at a time.

Thank you to all our client partners who have trusted us with our methodology to make their workplaces better.

Dirt track mindset

This one is about doing more, with less.

Or in this case, with zero, actually.

Lucent Globe is an Australian company that make cleaning products that are high quality and environmentally friendly.

Early in their journey, they don’t have multi-millions to spend on an all-encompassing marketing campaign.

So they listed the help of Ikea. For free.

They took their products into a store and spent the day taking photos and videos of their products scattered around Ikea’s plush show rooms.

The funny thing about this collab between Lucent Globe & Ikea is that Ikea still probably have no idea about it…

Whether they meant it or not, their behind-the-scenes video has probably been 100x more effective than the footage they actually shot.

At the end of the day, marketing isn’t always won by high-cost campaigns and productions.

It’s often the ones that are forced to think differently and dare to stand out.

After all, doing the same thing as everyone else only leads you to the same outcome.

Sometimes, you just want some nonsense to switch off from work and all the BS on LinkedIn… If that’s you, the Unthink Behind The Brand YouTube might just be for you.

Awards are always nice to receive, not least because they are useful to help justify to our parents we know what we’re doing. Last week, we were awarded: Most Disruptive Learning & Development Provider 2024 - UK.
