Janne Müller-Wieland & Sarah Thomas

Our fearless co-founders at Unthink, Janne & Sarah will always be first on this list.

They are the most interesting and impressive people we know.

Whether designing Learning Experiences or playing spikeball at the Unthink retreat, these two always set the standard and we’re proud to have Janne & Sarah lead our majority women-owned business.

Martha Ossai

A remarkable Gen Z go-getter arming herself with the skills of tomorrow. Still not out of school yet and notching up 29 work experiences including at numerous big tech companies.

A seriously impressive LinkedIn profile for an 18 year old.

Jill Douglas

Sports broadcaster and Patron of My Name5 Doddie Foundation. In overcoming gender inequality in sports journalism, Jill has crafted a wonderful storytelling skillset that she has deployed in My Name5 Doddie’s Foundation to great effect.

Lamees Butt

Often referred to as a force of nature at Unthink. Incredibly high agency, super smart and just gets shit done. Always seems to do it with a smile on her face too. Looking forward to her new app Riser make waves.

Dirt Track Thinking

A failed invention that poineered the sticky note industry.

This story begins at 3M, where a scientist named Dr. Spencer Silver was trying to develop a super-strong adhesive in 1968 for the aerospace industry. Instead, he accidentally created a weak, pressure-sensitive adhesive that could stick to surfaces but be easily removed without leaving residue.

For years, he retained the solution but struggled to find a practical use for it. Silver called it a "solution without a problem."

6 years later in 1974, another 3M scientist, Art Fry was singing in a church choir and became frustrated when his bookmark kept falling out of his hymnbook.

Fry knew about Silver’s unused adhesive and the idea came to him that it could be used to create a repositionable bookmark. The problem was found.

With some internal support, the team developed the product, and after test-marketing, Post-it Notes officially launched in 1980.

3M are estimated to dominate 80% of the sticky note industry that is worth over $2.1bn.
